Boat parade planned for Friday

Boat owners are invited to decorate their boats and parade with the Beaver Lake Sail and Power Squadron at 11 a.m. Friday.
Boats will form up just east of Point 10 on Beaver Lake beginning at 10: 30 a. m., then sail south to the Arkansas Highway 12 bridge, proceeding west toward the Prairie Creek area but bearing east, around Deer Island. Sailboats will lead off the parade, with small craft, runabouts, pontoons and larger craft following.
After the parade, boaters will meet at a nearby cove for a picnic. Bring finger food to share and a brown-bag lunch. Squadron members will be on hand to answer questions about the sail course scheduled in August.
