County gears up for fireworks

BENTON COUNTY — The skies above Benton County will light up with public fireworks displays tonight and Friday night.
Local celebrations include the following:
• Bella Vista: A fireworks show will begin at dusk, or shortly after 9 p. m., tonight at the Loch Lomond dam. Parking will be in the field below the dam and near tee box No. 5 on the Scotsdale Golf Course. Those planning to attend are asked to allow plenty of time to arrive and park.
• Lowell: A fireworks show will be held tonight at Mc-Clure Park, beginning with the rescheduled Mudtown Days Talent Show at 6 p. m. The Country Express Band will play following the talent show. Parking is available at McClure Park, Lowell Park and Lowell Elementary School and in downtown Lowell.
• Rogers: A fireworks show will begin at 9: 30 p. m. tonight at Veterans Park.
• Gentry: A fireworks show will be held at dusk Friday at the city park, with events throughout the day at the park.
• Siloam Springs: A fireworks show will be held at 9 p. m. Friday at Cecil Smith Airfield.
• Pinnacle Hills Country Club: A fireworks show will be held at dusk Friday near the Pinnacle Hills Country Club in Rogers. A public viewing area has been designated for the show near the country club, in a vacant field immediately south and across the street from Metropolitan State Bank on Perry Road adjacent to its intersection with Champions Drive. Free parking for tailgating and fireworks viewing will be available.
