An Arkansas man suspected of raping a 6-year-old girl from B e l l a Vista has been ext r a d i t e d f r o m Washington State by the B e n t o n C o u n t y prosecutor’s office and is in the Benton County Jail.
Travis Fredrickson, 36, of Booneville, was arrested by the Washington State Police on a rape charge on Aug. 22, two days after the Bella Vista police entered the information into the National Crime Information Center data base, Detective Barb Shrum said.
Then, the Bella Vista police had to wait more than a month for his extradiction.
On Monday, Sept. 30, he was in the Benton County Jail, where Bella Vista police served him a warrant for felony rape, Shrum said.
His bond was set at $ 150, 000 according to the Benton County Jail Web site.
He will probably go before the judge to set his court date and enter his plea the first week of November, Shrum said.
The child reported the alleged abuse to a family friend, who then told the parents, a police report stated.
During the investigation, Shrum said, the Children’s Advocacy Center in Little Flock interviewed the girl.
