Anderson

Ralph Duane Anderson Ralph Duane Anderson, 79, of Gentry, Ark., died Sept. 27, 2008, at Circle of Life Hospice, Springdale, Ark.

He was born Dec. 12, 1928, in Valley City, N. D., the son of Oscar William Anderson and Mabel Anna Irwin Anderson. He was an Army Air Force Veteran of the Korean War and was a heavy equipment operator. He married Jewell Dean Goodgion in 1951 in Wichita Falls, Texas. He was a member of the Church of Christ in Gentry.

Survivors include his wife Jewell; two sons and a daughter-in-law, Patrick G. Anderson and Mary Anderson and David D. Anderson, all of Gentry; three grandchildren; five great-grandchildren; a great-great-grandchild; and a sister, Linda Lu Martin of Missoula, Mont.

Funeral services were Sept. 30 at the Gentry Church of Christ with Bruce Potter officiating. Burial was at the Gentry Cemetery. Arrangements were under the direction of Wasson Funeral Home, Siloam Springs, Ark. James William Holmes James William Holmes, 90, of Siloam Springs, Ark., died Sept. 25, 2008, at Siloam Springs Memorial Hospital, Siloam Springs, Ark.

He was born Aug. 7, 1918, in Detroit, Mich., to James Frances Holmes and Laura Hartleb Holmes. He was a cabinet maker and had lived in the Gentry area for the past 15 years.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Cheryl M. Holmes, in 1995. Survivors include two daughters, Marilyn D. Holmes and Judith Ann Glaim, both of Tampa, Fla.; and two sons, Dan Holmes of Siloam Springs and David Holmes of Fort Meyers, Fla.

Burial was at the Gentry Cemetery in Gentry, Ark. Arrangements were by Wasson Funeral Home, Siloam Springs, Ark.
