During the health fair, free checkups will be given, including blood pressure, blood sugar, body mass index, body fat
measure-SILOAM SPRINGS ó ì Itís All About You, î a health fair for all ages, will be held from 8 a. m. to 11 a. m., Saturday, Oct. 18, under the big white tents in the parking lot of Siloam Springs Memorial Hospital, 205 East Jefferson.
The fair will feature local healthcare vendors and others from Northwest Arkansas.
The SSMH lab will offer a comprehensive blood test which screens for diabetes, liver and kidney function, and total cholesterol, LDL, HDL and triglycerides. The comprehensive blood test will be available for $ 15. Parment, pulse / oxygen, nutritional assessment, bone density screening, simple spirometry and much more.
Giveaways for children as well as adults will be available.
The American Heart Associationís Heart Walk will be held at 9 a. m. the same day, beginning at the site of the health fair. At 8: 30 a. m. Heart Walk participants can turn in late registration and money. The Heart Walk event also will feature an honor survivors / walk in tribute.
