Today is a nice day after all of those cloudy, windy days we had. Seems like sunshine makes a day so much better.
Sammie Sappington of Fayetteville visited her grandparents, Jack and Sylvia Tucker, one day this week. They always enjoy her and she likes to be with them.
Clifton Tucker visited me a while last Sunday afternoon. Judy had the flu. She hadn’t been getting out. Hope she gets to feeling better. She wants to go watch her grandchildren at Springdale play basketball.
The E. H. Club is still accepting donations for tickets for a 46-inch flat screen TV to be given away at the Thanksgiving dinner Saturday evening, Nov. 22, at Maysville Community Center.
Sylvia Tucker and Patti (Tucker ) King went to Omaha, NE, last week to see Sylvia’s granddaughter, Ashley, who is recovering from a car accident she was in a few months ago. She is slowly recovering now and is in rehab. We all hope she will soon be out of the hospital and rehab before long.
Maysville E. H. Club members, remember this Thursday, Nov. 20, is club meeting. It will only be an afternoon business meeting, no lunch. Business meeting begins at 1 p. m.
The community Thanksgiving dinner is hosted by the three churches of Maysville this year. They will furnish the turkey and dressing, bread and drinks. The E. H. Club will furnish the ham. They plan to eat at 6 p. m. Everyone is welcome. Bring a dish of your choice and enjoy the food along with the fellowship of friends in Maysville and surrounding area. There will be a program.
Holidays are coming up soon. It doesn’t seem like it has been that long since the last ones. I’ll be looking forward to Christmas because my grandson, Sheldon Tucker, who is attending college in Hawaii, will be home for two or three weeks. We haven’t seen him since August. It seems like a long time.
News is very short as usual. Seems like there’s not very much visiting going on. I guess everyone is busy and it’s been rather cold to get out.
