Wanda J. Cox Wanda J. Cox, 71, of Gentry, Ark., died Jan. 12, 2008, at Northwest Medical Center of Benton County.
Born July 31, 1936, in Winterset, Iowa, she was the daughter of Frank M. and Iris Pauline Hendricks Davis.
She had lived in Gentry for 10 years, moving there from Iowa. She retired from GTE / Verizon after 20 years and was a camp host at Natural Falls State Park in West Siloam Springs, Okla.
She was a Christian, and enjoyed quilt making and playing cards and games.
She was preceded in death by her parents and one brother, Donald Keith Davis.
Survivors include her husband of 40 years, Loren F. Cox of the home; two sons, Tom Flynn and wife Inge of Gentry and Tim Flynn of Otoe, Neb.; a daughter, Teresa Bennett of Elko, Nev.; seven grandchildren; and seven great-grandchildren.
Services will be at a later date in Winterset, Iowa. Local arrangements are under the direction of Bella Vista Funeral Home & Crematory, Bella Vista, Ark.

Born Aug. 15, 1918, in Hazard, Ken., he was the son of Robert Frank Farris and Mackey Sue Lewis Farris. He married Carma Judd on April 18, 1941, in Festus, Mo.
He was a U. S. Army veteran of World War II and fought at the Battle of Normandy. He worked as a chemical worker with Mallinckrodt Chemical.
He was preceded in death by his parents, five brothers and four sisters.
Survivors include his wife, Carma; one son, Tom Farris and wife Vergie of Winslow; five grandchildren; six great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.
Graveside services will be 10 a.m. Friday, Jan. 18, 2008, at Fayetteville National Cemetery, Fayetteville, Ark., with the Rev. Carl Swiney officiating. Burial will follow. Arrangements are under the direction of Wasson Funeral Home Inc., Siloam Springs, Ark.

Born Nov. 27, 1911, in Beaver County, Okla., she was the daughter of Elmer Judd and Pearl Judd. She was a homemaker and a member of Highfill Willing Workers. She was also member of Highfill Baptist Church, Highfill, Ark.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Claude, in 1991; and one daughter, Jeanie Copelin.
Survivors include three sons, Robert A. Kelly and wife Dean of Gentry, Jerry Ray Kelly and wife Elta of Jay, Okla., and Darrell D. Kelly and wife Kay of Bella Vista, Ark.; 11 grandchildren; 14 greatgrandchildren; three great-greatgrandchildren; and one sister, Thelma Pierson of Beaver, Okla.
Visitation will be 6 to 7: 30 p.m. Friday, Jan. 18, 2008, at Wasson Funeral Home, Siloam Springs, Ark. Funeral services will be 2 p.m. Saturday, Jan. 19, at Wasson Memorial Chapel, Siloam Springs, with Elder Long officiating. Burial will follow at Gentry Cemetery.

Born May 5, 1938, in Springlake, Texas, she was the daughter of Louis Bolinger and Mildred Franklin Bolinger. She married Jerry Dell James in Lubbock, Texas, on Oct. 31, 1956.
She was a homemaker and a member of the First Baptist Church in Highfill. She was a member of the Heartbeat of the Ozarks Car Club.
She was preceded in death by her parents and her husband.
Survivors include two sons, Fred James and wife Wanda of Siloam Springs, Ark., and Jason James and wife Janet of Gentry, Ark; one daughter, Marquetta Lucas and husband Rusty of Gentry; her mother-in-law, Edith James of Highfill; nine grandchildren; four great-grandchildren; one brother, Leroy Bolinger of Highfill; and one sister, Louise Buser of Bentonville, Ark. James Edward Sheppard James Edward Sheppard, 60, of Westville, Okla., died Jan. 13, 2008, at the Veterans Administration Hospital in Fayetteville, Ark.
Born in Altus, Ark., Dec. 21, 1947, he was the son of James Harvey Sheppard and Mary Ellen (Doss ) Sheppard. He married Peggy C. Arnold on Feb. 22, 1966 in Wesley, Ark.
He was a veteran of the U. S. Army, having served his country during the Vietnam War. He was of the Pentecostal faith, having attended the Baron Faith Revival Center in Baron, Okla.
He was a police officer for Gentry, Ark., from 1977 to 1978, and chief of police and ambulance coordinator for Gravette, Ark., from 1979 to 1981. He drove a truck for some years and was on the Town Council in Westville, from 2000 to 2006.
Survivors include his wife, Peggy Sheppard of the home; a daughter, Laurice Anderson of Muskogee, Okla.; two sons, Tracy Sheppard of Siloam Springs, Ark., and James Sheppard of Westville; nine grandchildren and one great-grandchild; his mother, Mary Ellen Sheppard of Siloam Springs; two sisters, Sue Hodges and Vicky Lamb, both of Gentry; and two brothers, Roger Sheppard and Ricky Sheppard, both of Siloam Springs.
Visitation will be 4 to 8 p.m. Wednesday, Jan. 16, 2008, at Backstrom-Pyeatte Funeral Home, Siloam Springs. Funeral services will be 2 p.m. Thursday, Jan. 17, at Baron Faith Revival Center in Baron, Okla, with Pastor Joe White and Pastor Paul Etter officiating. Born Aug. 7, 1961, in Bakersfield, Calif., he was the son of Kenneth Dale Williamson and Berthena Marie Small Williamson. He lived most of his life in Delaware County, Okla.
He was preceded in death by his father.
Survivors include two brothers, Michael Glenn Williamson of Oklahoma City, Okla., and Kelvin LeRoy Williamson of Colcord; two sisters, June E. Williamson and Susie Jones, both of Colcord; and his mother, Berthena Marie Small of Colcord.
