Fayetteville chamber plans construction industry night of appreciation for Oct. 27

The Fayetteville Chamber of Commerce will hold a Construction Industry Appreciation Night on Oct. 27. Social hour begins at 6 p. m., and the dinner and program begin at 7 p. m.
The chamber is looking for builders and developers to honor during the event. Nominations can be sent to Michelle Devers at mdevers @ fayettevillear. com or by calling 521-1710. Nominations need to include the name of the nominee and company, category and description of project / achievements.
Following are the categories and the 2007 winners:
• Residential Developer of the Year — Rausch Coleman Homes
• Commercial Contractor of the Year — CDI Contractors
• Supplier of the Year — National Home Centers
• Landmark Award: a project that is a symbol of Fayetteville — University of Arkansas Old Main renovation
• Adaptive Reuse: a project that adapted an old structure for a new purpose — Train Station on Dickson Street
• Historic Restoration: a remodeled / renovated historic building — Bank of Fayetteville
• Visionary Development Award: a project that brings life to our community — Botanical Garden of the Ozarks
• Golden Shovel Award — Shogun building
• Green Award: a project that supports sustainability — Sam’s Club
