Erin Pryor and Shane Stanley, both of Elkins, plan to marry at 7 p.m. Oct. 9, 2008, on the beach at South Padre Island, Texas.
The bride-elect is the daughter of Carie and Mark Pryor of Fayetteville. She is the granddaughter of Carolyn and Ed Curry of Holiday Island, J. A. and John McReynolds of Oklahoma City and Fern and Tommy Pryor of McAllen, Texas.
She is ocean operator of special projects at Airways Freight Corporation in Fayetteville.
The prospective groom is the son of Edie Stanley of Springdale and Ron Stanley of Siloam Springs. He is the grandson of Zoma Rickey of Walnut Ridge and the father of Sydra Stanley of Fayetteville.
He graduated from NorthWest Arkansas Community College and is an EMT in Madison County and a karate instructor at Arkansas College of Martial Arts in Fayetteville.
