Children’s Safety Center announces fundraiser

The Children’s Safety Center will host its first ever fundraising event, “ Small Hands Big Dreams, ” from 7-11 p. m. on Sept. 12 at the Fayetteville Town Center. During the event, hors d’oeuvres and beverages will be provided and entertainment will be by Boom Kinetic (formerly known as Molten Lava ).
Co-chairs for the event are Casey Roark and Tareneh Manning and emcee will be Ashley Ketz of “ KFSM’s 5 News This Morning” and Jennifer Irwin of Magic 107. 9 and Celebrate Arkansas magazine.
Proceeds from the event will be used to help fund the safety center’s new Physically and Sexually Abused Mental Health program for the children served at the center. Tickets are $ 50 and may be purchased prior to the event as well as reserved tables by contacting Elizabeth Moore at emoore @ jtlshop. jonesnet. org.
The Children’s Safety Center serves children up to age 17. Each child has their own advocate, or fr iend, to help them through the investigative process which may include a forensic interview, a specialized medical exam, and the healing process too, such as therapy. Neither the children nor any member of their family is charged for any of the services they receive at the Safety Center.
