A Springdale man was arrested early Monday morning for allegedly raping a woman in downtown Fayetteville Sunday night.
Pascual Dominguez-Hernandez, 23, of 2003 Brookhaven was arrested on a felony charge of rape.
According to a Fayetteville Police Department report, Dominguez-Hernandez met the victim while dancing at a club on Dickson Street in Fayetteville. The victim told officers that after dancing Dominguez-Hernandez led her to a van parked not too far from the club. She said that Dominguez-Hernandez forced her to have sex with him.
Her dress was ripped and she had multiple bruises and scratches on her upper torso as a result of the attack according to the report.
After the victim made the report, officers found the van, but could not find Dominguez-Hernandez. After they searched the surrounding areas police officers found and arrested him.
During his questioning Dominguez-Hernandez said that the sex was consensual but that when he ripped the victim's dress she told him to stop. The report stated that Dominguez-Hernandez said he ignored the victim's initial request and continued to ignore verbal and physical protests. He denied physically grabbing or holding the victim and added the bruising was a result of aggressive kissing.
He's currently being held in the Washington County Detention Center without bond.
