UA soccer hosts Tulsa in home opener

Off a season-opening win on the road, Arkansas soccer will open its home schedule today with a 7 p.m. matchup against Tulsa (1-1 ) at Razorback Field. This will be the 27 th meeting between the two programs and the 10 th straight season the teams will face one another.

Arkansas (1-0 ) will look to stay undefeated during the young season after a 1-0 win in its Aug. 22 season opener at Missouri State. Freshman Nikki Crocco scored the game's only goal at the 71: 43 mark and Britni Williams made three saves to preserve the shutout. Senior Megan Fawley earned the assist on the Hogs' goal.

The Golden Hurricane come into the game off a 10-0 thumping of Southern in their last outing. On the season, Rebekah Riner, Courtney Chadney and Allie Rapp lead Tulsa with two goals each. Tulsa has outshot its opponents, 57-9, in its two games. Jennifer Kacergis is the leading returning scorer for Tulsa, which finished last season with a 3-14-2 record.

Arkansas trails in the all-time series with Tulsa, 8-17-1.
