The library will offer a sixweek creative writing workshop for students this fall. The Youth Writing Workshop, for students from third through fifth grade, will meet from 4-5 p.m. every Tuesday through Oct. 21 in the Wal-Mart Storytime Room. The workshop is free. The library will celebrate Hispanic Heritage Month through Oct. 15 with a series of guests during the weekly Cuentos y Mas story times at 11: 15 a.m. Wednesdays in the Wal-Mart Storytime Room. The story times are taught in Spanish and English for 3-6 year olds. This week's special guest will be Ana Cecilia Vasquez of Noticias Libres.
The Teen Creative Fiction Workshop, for students from sixth through 12 th grade, will meet from 4-5 p.m. every Wednesday through Oct. 22 in the Wal-Mart Storytime Room. The workshop is free. Registration is required and can be done by calling 856-7250. Students will explore writing poetry, creative fiction, nonfiction and plays through activities designed to stretch their imaginations.
The Library will host a "Scholarships, Financial Aid and College Funding "seminar 6-8 p.m. Wednesday in the Walker Community Room. Attendees can learn how to fund a college education, regardless of how much or how little you have in the bank. For more information, contact 856-7250.
