Unitarian Universalist Fellowship will hold a hymn sing at 10 a.m. Sunday. Especially invited are those who used to love singing in church, but who have stayed away from church in recent years. The Unitarian Universalist hymnal," Singing the Living Tradition," provides old favorites and new and reflects Unitarian Universalist commitment to the inherent worth and dignity of every person.

Early Music Vocal Ensemble Heinavanker will sing at 3 p.m. Sunday at St. Paul's Episcopal Church, 224 N. East Ave., Fayetteville. Heinavanker (the Haywain ) are six accomplished vocalists who derive their inspiration from early sacred music. There is no admission charge and everyone is invited to attend. Contributions to Friends of Music at St. Paul's are welcome.

Sequoyah United Methodist Church will have hundreds of pumpkins delivered as part of the church's 3 rd annual "Pumpkin Patch "beginning Monday. The pumpkins are grown as a fundraiser for the Navajo Indian Reservation in northwest New Mexico and trucked specifically to the church for the month-long event. The "Pumpkin Patch "will be located on the church grounds, 1910 Old Wire Road, Fayetteville, and will operate from 10 a.m. to 8 p.m. Monday through Saturday and from noon to 8 p.m. Sundays. The Esther Circle of First Christian Church of Fayetteville will have a meeting at 6: 30 p.m. Tuesday at Cecily Brawner's home. The study will be lesson # 7 and is available in the CWF box in the office. For directions, call Cecily at 521-360.

First United Presbyterian will feature a lecture by Katie Brashears, AIA, Community Design Center of the University of Arkansas and Wendi Jones, Executive Director for Habitat for Humanity at 6: 30 p.m. Wednesday in the Fellowship Hall at the church. The event is free and open to the public.

Life Harvester Church, 682 S. Government St., Fayetteville, will have a special program "No More Silly Women "that will feature guest speakers Cozy Dixon, Jewel Tankard and Lequita Perry-Means and a concert from One Generation of Praise. The event begins at 7 p.m. Friday and continues through Oct. 12. Registration is $ 25. Register by Friday at www. lifeharvestchurch. org or 251-7327. Net proceeds will benefit Compassion House of Northwest Arkansas and Leah's House of Kansas City.

First Baptist Church will present a special conference for women, Shaunti Feldhahn's "For Women Only: What You Need to Know About the Inner Lives of Men "on October 11. Feldhahn will share truths about the inner lives of men, based on researched information gained from surveys and interviews with more than 1, 000 men. Tickets for the conference are $ 25 and are available at local Christian booksellers or by calling First Baptist Church at 442-2387.

First Church of Christ, Scientist will have a free, public lecture on the topic "Finding Home:... on earth as it is in heaven "by Ginny Luedemen, C. S., of Salem, Ore., at 3 p.m. October 11 at the Cosmopolitan Hotel, McIllroy Room, 70 N. East Ave., Fayetteville. Leudemen will share her inspiring journey from a career as a hard rock singer, overdosing on LSD, to a spiritual seeker and healer. For more information, call 927-3436.
