In Northwest Arkansas, the Clothesline Fair and Labor Day weekend have almost become synonymous. Now in its 57th year, the event is more than just an arts and crafts fair but encompasses many things that make small-town America great -- wares made by locals, square dance performances and antique farming equipment displays, to name a few.

Held at Prairie Grove Battlefield State Park, located west of Fayetteville on U.S. 62 in Prairie Grove, the event opens at 7:30 a.m. Saturday with a 5K and one-mile race and ends Monday evening with a square dancing competition. Admission is free, though there is a $4 charge for parking.
