SPOTLIGHT
Pea Ridge National Military Park fall hours Pea Ridge National Military Park will end its summer hours on Aug. 30. The park will be open from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. With end of summer hours, the park is ending having the Elkhorn Tavern open everyday. The tavern will be open on an irregular basis throughout the fall. The horse trail remains closed at this time. The damage to the trail was much greater than originally estimated and the repair of the trail is moving along slowly. The continued rain throughout the summer has not helped the park in its efforts. The park hopes to have the trail open by fall.
