Mary Katherine Adams Mary Katherine Adams, 89, of Rogers, Ark., died Friday, Aug. 22, 2008, at Northwest Medical Center in Bentonville, Ark. She was born Feb. 8, 1919, in Marion, Ohio, to William Taylor and Nettie Mae Fenton Taylor.
Survivors include three sons and daughters-in-law, David Hollinger and Delores Hollinger, William Dan Hollinger and Barbara Hollinger, and Roger Hollinger and Celia Hollinger; 13 grandchildren; and 21 great-grandchildren.
Services were held Monday, Aug. 25, at the Keypoint Church in Bentonville, Ark. Arrangements were by Rollins Funeral Home of Rogers. Harrel Gene Cato The Rev. Harrel Gene Cato, 70, of Rogers, Ark., died Monday, Aug. 18, 2008, at Mercy Medical Center in Rogers. He was born May 1, 1938, in Mc-Clellan, Ark., to Alvin Cato and Myrtle Hughes Cato.

Survivors include his wife of 48 years, Judy Cato, whom he married on Jan. 17, 1960, in Gregory, Ark.; a daughter and son-in-law, Regina Donnell and Hugh Donnell of Rogers; two sisters and brothers-in-law, Oleta Duncan and Marvin Duncan of Little Rock, Ark., and Reba Watts and Doyle Watts of Bryant, Ark., and two grandchildren, Garrett Donnell and Maggie Donnell.
Funeral services were held Thursday, Aug. 21, at the Monte Ne Baptist Church. Burial was at the Oak Grove Cemetery in Rogers. Arrangements were by Epting Funeral Home of Bentonville, Ark.
Pallbearers were Edwin Pearrow, Billy Kittrell, Eddie Coleman, Gene Neal, Dale Jobe, Mark Strickland, David Kelley and Noel Cwenar.
Memorials may be made to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital, P. O. Box 50, Memphis, TN 38101; or to the Feed the Children organization. Craig L. Chamness Craig L. Chamness, 43, of Rogers, Ark., died Wednesday, Aug. 20, 2008, at Northwest Medical Center in Bentonville, Ark. He was born Dec. 26, 1964, in Benton, Ill., to Lyndell Chamness and Mary Ann Eskew Chamness.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Sylvia Chamness; a sister, Susan Ann Shaw; and his grandparents.
Survivors include his father and stepmother, Lyndell Chamness and Shirley Chamness of Benton, Ill.; his mother and stepfather, Mary Ann Novak and Kent Novak of Rogers; a son, Christopher Chamness of Pass Christian, Miss.; a daughter, Faith Chamness of Pass Christian; three brothers and a sister-in-law, Michael Chamness and Anne Chamness of Denver, Colo., and Kevin Chamness and Keith Chamness, both of Benton, Ill.; two sisters and brothers-in-law, Susan Elizabeth Riecke and John Riecke of Denver and Tina Harpool and Kevin Harpool of West Frankfort, Ill.; and his paternal stepgrandparents, Bob and Willadean Loyd of Bella Vista, Ark.
A memorial service was held Saturday, Aug. 23, at the family home in Rogers. Arrangements were by Rollins Funeral Home of Rogers.
Memorials may be made to the American Cancer society, to the Cystic Fibrosis Foundation or to the Hope Foundation. Elvis Franco Elvis Franco, 6 months, of Rogers, Ark., died Thursday, Aug. 14, 2008, in Rogers. He was born Jan. 16, 2008, in Rogers to Oscar Franco and Mary Cruz Valle Franco.
Survivors include his parents, Oscar and Mary Franco; two brothers, Diego Steve Franco of Sonsonate, El Salvador, and Oscar Alfredo Franco of Rogers; and a sister, Rocio Arely Franco of Sonsonate.
Graveside services were held Thursday, Aug. 21, in Babyland at the Rogers Cemetery with Father Salvador. Arrangements were by the Benton County Funeral Home of Rogers. Cesar A. Guzman Cesar A. Guzman, 55, of Rogers, Ark., died Wednesday, Aug. 20, 2008, in Rogers. He was born June 22, 1953, in Fruiganes, Guatemala, to Edmundo Guzman and Dolores Navarro.
He married Maria del Carmen Garcia. He was a truck driver and a member of St. Vincent de Paul Catholic Church in Rogers.
He was preceded in death by his father, Edmundo Guzman; and a sister, Candelaria Guzman.
Survivors include his wife, Maria Guzman; a son, Cesar Guzman Jr. of the home; a daughter, Jennifer Guzman of Centerton, Ark.; his mother, Dolores Navarro; three brothers, Sergio Navarro and Juan Ruano, both of Rogers, and Valentin Guzman of Guatemala City, Guatemala; three sisters, Albertina Guzman of Palm Springs, Calif., and Rafaela Guzman and Cecilia Guzman, both of Guatemala City; and a granddaughter, Evelyn Marie Sanchez of Centerton.

Burl Dean Laughlin Burl Dean Laughlin, 70, of Grove, Okla., died Monday, Aug. 18, 2008, at his home. He was born May 24, 1938, in Mc-Donald County, Mo., to Amos Laughlin and Rachel Ruddick Laughlin.
He was a foundry worker for Bentonville Casting. He was a Pentecostal. He enjoyed fishing, toy trains, camping and singing karaoke.
He was preceded in death by two brothers, Robert Laughlin and Melvin Laughlin; and three sisters, Dorothy Cooper, Julie McCool and Mary Blevins.
Survivors include three sons, Rick Laughlin of Rogers, Ark., Ronny Yancey of Springdale, Ark., and Randy Yancey of South Carolina; four daughters, Tammy Brewer of Carthage, Mo., Rachel Copp of Bentonville, Ark., Frances Nichols of Pineville, Mo., and Cheryl Slack of Pea Ridge, Ark.; two brothers, Earl Laughlin of Pineville and Lawrence Laughlin of Rocky Comfort, Mo.; three sisters, Eva Laughlin of Pineville, Sharon Kay Fletcher of Washburn, Mo., and Christine Bristow of Kansas City, Mo.; 17 grandchildren; and 12 great-grandchildren. Graveside services were held Friday, Aug. 22, at the Oak Grove Cemetery in Rogers, Ark., with Brother Jamie Cope. Arrangements were by Sisco Funeral Home of Pea Ridge, Ark. Marshall'Dean' McKinney Marshall "Dean"McKinney, 70, of Lowell, Ark., died Wednesday, Aug. 20, 2008, at Circle of Life Hospice Home in Springdale, Ark. He was born Sept. 5, 1937, in Waterloo, Iowa, to Harold S. McKinney and Gladys Chapman McKinney.
He was raised and educated in Iowa. He was employed as the manager of the University of Northern Iowa Credit Union. He retired and moved to Arkansas in 2004. He enjoyed golf and driving cars.
He was preceded in death by a brother," Bud"Knoll.
Survivors include a son and daughter-in-law, Devin McKinney and Kathy Berenson of Brooklyn, N. Y.; a daughter and son-in-law, Dawn McKinney and Mike Christensen of Bettendorf, Iowa; two grandchildren, Hope Christensen and Mya Christensen; two sisters and brothers-in-law, Maralee D'Albertis and Pierre D'Albertis of Minnesota and Miriam Canfield and Chuck Canfield of Blairstown, Iowa; a special friend, Diane Wagner of Bella Vista, Ark.; and his significant other, Julie Davis of Lowell, Ark.
A service will be held at a later date at Circle of Life Hospice in Springdale. Arrangements were by the Bella Vista Funeral Home and Crematory of Bella Vista. Louis M. Mitchell Louis M. Mitchell, 69, of Fayetteville, Ark., died Sunday, Aug. 17, 2008, at Circle of Life Hospice in Springdale, Ark. He was born Oct. 2, 1938, in Boston, Ark., to Solomon Mitchell and Fairlena Thomas Mitchell.
He retired as Gabriel Edward Novak Gabriel Edward Novak, 32, of Rogers, Ark., died Saturday, Aug. 16, 2008, at his home. He was born Oct. 9, 1975, in California to Edward Novak and Susan Greene.
He had lived in northwest Arkansas for about a year. He was a chef and enjoyed playing the guitar.
He was preceded in death by all of his grandparents.
Survivors include his father and stepmother, Edward Novak and Marcia Novak of Athens, Tenn., two brothers, Eddie Novak and Cody Novak, both of Athens; a sister and brother-inlaw, Jessica Croomes and John Croomes of Athens; a niece; and a nephew.
A memorial service was held Saturday, Aug. 30, at the River Worship Center in Delano, Tenn., with Pastor Pat McCulley. Cremation arrangements were by Epting Funeral Home of Bentonville.
