Lees named outstanding philanthropists The Association of Fundraising Professionals, Northwest Arkansas Chapter, will name Greg and Hannah Lee as the area's top philanthropists at its seventh annual National Philanthropy Day luncheon on Nov. 19 at Embassy Suites Hotel in Rogers.
More than 400 people are expected to attend the NPD luncheon, which recognizes individuals and organizations for their contributions to countless charities and causes in the northwest Arkansas community. Across North America, more than 100 AFP chapters and nearly 50, 000 people will participate in NPD events.
NPD 2008 begins at 11: 30 a.m. and the public is invited to attend. Tickets are $ 35 and information is available on the chapter's Web site at www. nwarkafp. org. Army National Guard The Rogers and Bentonville Army National Guard recruiting offices have merged together into a store front at 4500 W. Walnut St., Suite 8, Rogers. They will be holding an opening ceremony from 5 p.m. to 8 p.m. Oct. 3. There will be rock walls for climbing, military vehicles on display, giveaways and much more. From 8 p.m. to 9 p. m., there will be a presentation about the guard "The Guard Experience."
