Continuing education nursing assistants The Schmieding Center for Senior Education will present a continuing education seminar for nursing assistants on "Sensory Loss"from 3 p.m. to 4 p.m. Oct. 8. Lynda Gay Spilman, education assistant for the Schmieding Center for Senior Health and Education, will be the guest speaker.

Susan C. Reinhard, PhD, RN, FAAN, will be the distinguished lecturer from 6: 30 p.m. to 7: 30 p.m. Oct. 9 at the Schmieding Center for Senior Health and Education, 2422 N. Thompson, Springdale.

Reinhard will be speaking on "Getting Beyond the Status Quo on Long-Term Services for Older People: What Needs to Happen ?"

Elder LifePhases-Springdale The Schmieding Center for Senior Education is sponsoring an Elder LifePhases seminar entitled "Solutions for Managing Erectile Dysfunction"from 10: 30 a.m. to 11: 30 a.m. Oct. 9. Dr. Chad Brekelbaum, MD, from Northwest Arkansas Urology Associates, will be discussing effective treatments available for this common condition. He will be speaking at the Springdale Schmieding Center auditorium located at 2422 N. Thompson, Springdale.

Elder LifePhases-Bella Vista The Schmieding Center for Senior Health and Education Elder LifePhases-Bella Vista will be sponsoring a seminar on "Medicare / Medicaid and Medical Equipment. "Betty Clement, CEO of Choice Medical Billing & Supply, will be talking about how to select medical equipment and who pays for medical equipment. This program is free to the community.
