Tennis Rogers Heritage was the home team for Sept. 15 's tennis match against Rogers High.

The Mounties and Lady Mounties both cruised to 9-0 wins.

Taylor Marsh, Cody Averett, Collin Jones, Austin Paul, Nick Carter and Will Echols won in singles for the Mounties.

Karsyn Betts, Keely Dockins, Michelle Kilgore, Caroline Kelley, Emily Dockins and Kate Gatner picked up singles wins for the Lady Mounties. Volleyball Lady Mounties Fayetteville won two of the first three games Sept. 16 at Bulldog Gym to forge a commanding lead, but the Lady Mounties won the final two stanzas to secure the 3-2 victory in the 7 A-West Conference match. The win evened Rogers'league record at 2-2.

Lady War Eagles Bentonville Black improved to 14-0 with a 25-8, 25-16 volleyball win against Rogers Heritage on Sept. 16.

Lady Mounties The Rogers Lady Mounties went 3-2 on Sept. 20 at the Springfield Classic, but both of the Lady Mounties'losses came to teams that finished at the top of the tournament. Cross Country War Eagles The Heritage boys'and girls'teams both finished third overall at the Monett Invitational on Sept. 16.

Oscar Orrala and Justin Miller both finished in the top 15 overall for the War Eagles. Dani David and Emily Pappas had top 15 finishes for the Lady War Eagles.

Mounties The Rogers Mounties and Lady Mounties junior varsity cross country teams took second place at the 15-team Monett, Mo., Invitational held Sept. 15 on the city's municipal golf course.

Jordan James finished second overall for the Lady Mounties and Robert Dorch placed third overall for the Mounties.

The JV Mounties placed four runners in the top 10 spots.

War Eagles Heritage junior varsity placed third in both boys'and girls'at Monett. Its top runners were Oscar Orrala, Justin Miller, Adam Yawn, Mariano Mendez, and Isia Carranza on the boys side.

Dani David led the way for the Lady War Eagles followed by Emily Pappas, Alejandra Gonzalez, Colleen Rooney, and Katie Flanagin.

Heritage's varsity boys placed second at Carthage; its girls were fourth. Golf An up-and-down par save on the third playoff hole Sept. 17 at Stonebridge Meadows Golf Club clinched Rogers sophomore Jes Sanders'second-consecutive medalist title at the 7 AWest Conference Tournament. Football Mountie freshmen Springdale George rushed for 150 yards and got two late-game interceptions to preserve a 13-6 freshmen win at Rogers Sept. 18.

War Eagle freshmen The Bentonville Tigers won 21-0 Sept. 18 against Rogers Heritage at Tiger Stadium in a Northwest Arkansas Conference game.

Lincoln Junior High beat Lingle Middle School 41-0 in the eighth-grade game.
