"We came out in the second half and said that this is for real and that these (Heritage players ) are good," Northside coach Darrell Henry said. "They came out in the second half and understood what they had to do and did it."

Dupire finished with four rushing touchdowns and threw three touchdowns. He completed 29 of 40 passes for 418 and rushed for 97 yards.

"They scored three times and boom," said Heritage coach Perry Escalante. "They put us on our heels and we never recovered. Our offense stalled there and you can't do that … We played pretty well in the first half but that third quarter broke our back."

The first half was a passing shootout with the teams combining to score 45 points. Both quarterbacks were accurate in the half as Reed Brown completed 23 of 30 passes for 335 yards and four touchdowns while Dupire was 18 of 25 for 273 yards with two touchdowns passes, one rushing touchdown and an interception.
