George E. Alderman George E. Alderman, 80, of Rogers, Ark., died Thursday, Nov. 13, 2008, in Rogers. He was born Nov. 22, 1927, in Butte, Mont., to Ernest Alderman and Ada Ridey Alderman. He served in the U.S. Army and retired from General Motors after 30 years of employment as a machine operator and a supervisor. He was a member of the United Auto Workers and the Senior Citizens Center. Survivors include three daughters, Chris Sversvold of Rogers, Diana Sims of Sherman, Texas, and Janet Lee Tippett of Sanger, Texas; six grandchildren ; and six great-grandchildren. Funeral services were held Sunday, Nov. 16, at the Benton County Funeral Home. Private burial services were held at National Cemetery in Fayetteville. - Wednesday, November 19, 2008
