Public transportation from Pea Ridge to Bentonville and Rogers is being discussed by the City Council, but councilmen want to know if there is any public interest before they commit city money to the project.

A representative from Ozark Regional Transit presented information to the council at the regular meeting Tuesday, Aug. BY ANNETTE BEARD Times Editor annetteb @ nwanews. com 29. To provide service one day at week to Pea Ridge, would cost the city $ 4, 800 annually. Each rider would pay $ 2. 50 for a one-way trip or $ 5 round trip.

"Since the medical center closed," said Mayor Jackie Crabtree," this is needed even more."

"Why don't we do a survey or provide it on a trial basis like three to six months," asked council member Bob Cottingham.
